It’s never too late to start something new, take risks, find new passions, and reinvent yourself. I began a career as a nurse, then an interior designer, followed by many titles in the advertising industry, and eventually an owner of an executive search firm. Along this path I married the love of my life, bought a farm in CT, rescued a bevy of farm animals and dogs, and became a competitive rower.
I’ve always had an artistic sensibility for design, color, texture, and all things patinaed and gracefully worn. At the age of 63 after a long hiatus from painting, I rekindled my love for creating art and thus the journey began.
I don’t consider myself a realistic painter, but I love abstraction and impressionism. Each painting I create is personal for me and hopefully the viewer makes their own connection with each piece. Living in New England provides a never-ending source of inspiration to paint from. One of my favorite subjects are old, tattered barns whose rich history and fading beauty tell stories that run deep.
Working primarily with oil paints and mixed media, I experiment with color and texture using different mediums and a variety of tools for application.
Just like my paintings, I'm a work-in-progress. I study and learn as much as I can from some of the most respected teachers and artists across the country. Each stroke of the brush is a new lesson learned.
